SEMA 2017: Expand Your Horizons With Futures In Hot Rodding

[1]

Dig custom cars? Hot Rod Industry Alliance is a good place to start.

It’s no secret that the annual SEMA Show out of Las Vegas, Nevada, is most known for bringing the largest aftermarket equipment manufacturers together under one roof once a year. But what may be unbeknownst to the general public, is that SEMA is actually also a giant resource of career and education opportunities in this industry we share. The Futures In Hot Rodding program is brought to us by the SEMA Council, in conjunction with the Hot Rod Industry Alliance.

According to its website, the program “serves to encourage the industry’s next generation by communicating, identifying, and promoting educational resources and career opportunities.” The trio works hard to recognize more than 150 select suppliers to enable enthusiasts who are looking to enter the industry (or further their career).

Who will build the custom cars of the future?

Some of the inner programs include The SEMA Show Student Program, which allows qualified students to experience SEMA without needing to be a member. The SEMA Memorial Scholarship Fund is a scholarship award system which may be available for many educational paths for enthusiasts looking to eventually break into the industry.

Furthermore, the SEMA Educational Institute works with a large list of trade schools, colleges and universities to help foster career opportunities in the industry by providing the correct and necessary education paths. We’ve just touched on some of the highlights in this segment, so we encourage you to checkout The Futures In Hot Rodding program in full in its entirety on SEMA’s website here [3].
