Case of The Mondays: Mad Max Continues to Inspire

[1]

There are constant reminders that the Internet carries a good portion of talent in its binary streams, in addition to the normal bushels of drivel one encounters on a minute to minute basis. Case in point – one of the scribes over a RideLust [2] went off in search of fan art based on the Mad Max franchise.

[3]What he came up with was an assortment of works ranging from the fantastic to the mediocre. But, obviously what they all share is an inspiration from the series of movies that began in 1979. The first sequel, Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior was released in 1981, followed by Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome in 1984.

As all true fans wait and debate the arrival next year of the fourth installment, Mad Max 4: Fury Road, this may be an easy way to level out your frustrations. George Miller is listed as Director for the upcoming edition, which also stars Teresa Palmer, Charlize Theron, Nicholas Hoult, Zoƫ Kravitz and Adelaide Clemens. There is no word on Mel Gibson being in the cast.

So, have you got that itch to sketch out a better Interceptor, or ultralight helicopter? Try it out and post a link from here. Who knows what could happen? At least, it’ll make the time go faster until Mad Max 4: Fury Road arrives.
