Chryslers At Carlisle: Ralph Gilles Treats Crowd To Hellcat Burnout

[1]One of the biggest shows to hit the states for Mopars is the Chryslers at Carlisle. This show brings Chrysler products, new and old, out to the fairgrounds and along with the cars come some pretty big names in the business. Currently, with all the hype over the Hellcat Hemi Challenger, one name that remains larger than life is that of former CEO of SRT Brand, Ralph Gilles.

Gilles is out there in Pennsylvania, enjoying the show in the Sublime Hellcat Challenger that is his ride for the weekend. To kick things off in true Mopar Motorsports fashion, Gilles took the words of President and CEO of Dodge and SRT Brands, Tim Kuniskis, and put them to pavement.

[2]Kuniskis said, “Dodge is racing to the front lines of the horsepower wars [3],” and Gilles took all 707 horsepower from his ride and smoked out the crowd.

When you see things like this – the important people representing a manufacturer – laying down some tire and showing us what their car is capable of, you have a recipe for everything good in the automotive industry. It’s a time when Mopar enthusiasts can say, “who cares about someone else’s recalls, we want to see some good, old-fashioned tire smoke – we want the burnout.” And burnout they got, and it was all captured on video.

Yeah, that’s Ralph again.

Kuniskis said the Hellcat Challenger is “the most powerful musclecar – EVER!”, and if the other players want to chime in and show us what they have, we’re sure that Gilles and the rest of the Chrysler camp won’t have any problem with it.

However, until then Mopar fans will just have to relish in the fact that the Hellcat Challenger has got what it takes to impress the masses. Looks like Ralph will need to hit up SRT for some new tires soon. Like they say: Smoke ’em if ya got ’em!
