With the SEMA Show just around the corner, we’re starting to see teasers of some of the hottest booth cars of the show. CTEK, the Sweedish company who manufacturers smart battery charging products, has released some gorgeous teaser shots of the completely custom twin-turbo ’68 Dodge Charger they will be featuring in their booth.

Built by renowned Swedish custom car builder Johan Eriksson, the project has been described by Eriksson as his most extreme to date, in both style and performance. The classic Charger RTR features modern Mopar power in the form of the V-10 engine from a Dodge Viper. In addition to the two extra cylinders, the engine is force-fed by a twin-turbocharger system, bringing the engine’s output to an estimated 1,500 horsepower.

Taking a step back, the RTR project makes sense as the next evolution in Eriksson’s path, as his passion from the start has been Mopars, and his previous internationally-acclaimed projects were another 1968 Dodge Charger, and a 1996 Dodge Viper GTS. The RTR combines the two into what might be considered the ultimate melding of classic and modern Mopars.

The Charger RTR will be unveiled in CTEK’s booth at 2:00pm on Tuesday, October 31st (The first day of the SEMA Show) and Eriksson will be available on Wednesday and Thursday for “meet the builder” sessions at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm. The irony of having a Charger in a charger company’s booth isn’t lost on us, and from the behind the scenes video and photo we’ve seen that can’t be shared, this is definitely one sick vehicle that really needs to be seen in person to truly appreciated.
