eBay Find of The Day: ’51 Chevy Gasser “Skid Road”

[1]

We found this really cool 1951 Chevy on eBay, built up to look like an old school gasser. What an awesome ride, set on new Coker rear slicks and vintage ’40 mags mounted on skinnies up front. The 51’s gasser look was created with a Speedway Motors straight axle front end perched on leaf springs and a 4:56 Chevy 10-bolt posi out back outfitted with old school traction bars.

[2]The paint scheme is plain but definitely gets the point across with suede black paint, flames and Mooneyes to complete the look. It is called Skid Road and the name seems to give this Chevy personality. The interior is all business with big tall chrome shifter and classic Stewart Warner chrome gauges.

You can be confident that you can drive it anywhere, because this ’51 has power brakes, new Painless Wiring, and a nice running 1969 vintage 350 Chevy with a single Holley carb, electronic ignition and a turbo 350 transmission for durability.

So for you guys that love the old gassers and want one you could drive to the local cruise night or Dairy Queen, go check it out, it has a “Buy it now” for $13,500. Not a bad price to feel young again and relive the days when cruising was a lifestyle and drag racing was everywhere, long live the gassers.
