If you haven’t heard by now, The 24th Annual Goodguys Summer Get-Together is the kick off to the summer car show season; and the second of four Goodguys events in the Bay Area brings together more than 2,500 cars and trucks — all years American made or powered. The folks at Goodguys have told us that the focus for this year’s event is on muscle cars, as they celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Chevy Camaro. A special indoor Camaro display will be available for your viewing pleasure, as well as the traditional indoor car show that will also feature muscle cars from a spectrum of The Big Three.
“Goodguys wanted to do an autocross shootout on the West Coast as we do them in the Midwest and at the finals in Scottsdale, Arizona,” Ed Capen of Goodguys told us. “The Summer Get-Together is the prefect event to hold this Shootout. We can tie it into the finals and get the west coast drivers excited to have an event in their backyard. The event will run all day Saturday as qualifying, and on Sunday afternoon, we will have the 16 car field and run for the overall winner. We look forward to these autocross shootouts and what they bring to the finals in Scottsdale, Arizona.”
The show will conclude on Sunday afternoon with the awards ceremony, where attendees can see the best of the best of what’s on deck. We hope to see you folks out there on June 3rd – June 4th in Pleasanton, California, at The 24th Annual Goodguys Summer Get-Together event!
