There’s an old saying that goes, “a family that plays together, stays together.” This means that no matter what the hobby is, if the family is participating together they will become closer and stay together. This could be going camping, having a family movie night, or racing cars.
While cruising the pages on Lateral-G, we caught this video from the Ultimate Street Car Association introducing the Farringtons. For those people that are into Pro-Touring, you’ve been probably heard of them before.
If you haven’t heard of them, you’ve probably seen their car all over the internet and gracing the pages of magazines. But for those of you outside the Pro-Touring world, the Farrington’s are one model citizen family.
To start, they have a bit of an obsession with racing their cars. They started with a Tom’s beautiful 1966 Chevelle that bit them with the Pro-Touring bug. From there they picked up a 1964 Chevelle wagon for Deb to drive. Even Sam has a 1967 Chevelle that’s undergoing restoration and will be soon hitting the tracks. Mind you, they are very competitive on the track. They have won numerous events and always place very well.
What’s even more impressive than their passion for Pro-Touring is they are the nicest people that you could ever meet. Whenever you see them, they have a smile on their face and open arms. Both Tom and Deb are fire fighters and Tom is also in the National Guard, which really shows you their passion for helping others in times of need.
This is one family that definitely loves to play(race) together and has fun doing it the whole time.
