“It’s only original once,” is a phrase muttered often among purists yet disregarded by those in favor of customization. As the cars age, the odds of finding one in an original condition are narrowed making those few preserved of value. Performance and style come together to present this 1963 Ford Galaxie. Its unique balance allows it to be both the ultimate cruiser and a car show stunner.
This former California black plate car is offered by Bullitt Motorsports and has a straight body with details highlighted by its bright red paint.
Inside, the Galaxie retains many original components which are in excellent original condition. The gauges all work as they should and all the door cards are said to be in excellent shape with minimal wear. The headliner is intact and in good condition while the vintage cassette player works properly. The windows operate with ease and though the drivers rear button sticks on occasion.
The exterior paint is original to the car and has been presented very well. The chrome and brightwork are in good condition and show well. Given the condition of other preserved elements, it should come as no surprise that all of the glass sits as it should and is without fade.
Completing the look of the Galaxie is a set of fender skirts and the car sits on a set of Cragars wheels, each in excellent condition.
Under the hood, the car is powered by a peppy 352-cubic inch V8 that allows the driver to roll down the highway with ease. The engine bay is detailed and the brakes feel great to the driver as well as the transmission and rear end. Strange noises and smoke are absent.
