Man Loses Control, Totals a WS6 in Oklahoma

When we first get our driver’s license at the age of 16, it’s more often than not beaten into our skulls to drive carefully, and respect all traffic laws – no matter how lame they might seem. This is especially true when you own a high-performance car; one that can easily, and very quickly, get you into a sticky situation. [1]

A new and/or young driver with limited skills can only handle so much power. Although 325 HP may seem like not quite that much these days with the current V6 Camaro putting out close to that number, it’s still more than what some people can handle.

On January 28th, an Oklahoma man was driving his LS1-powered Trans Am WS6 on State Highway 20 between Owasso and Claremore. Witnesses claim they spotted the car traveling eastbound, and at a high rate of speed around the bendy and twisty roads. The car’s driver went to pass a motorist going a little too slow for his taste, went into a no-passing lane, swerved to miss an oncoming car, and then rolled the T/A over.

To be fair, we’re not sure how old the nameless driver was, or if he had been drinking. None of that information has been released, based on what Oklahoma’s News Channel 6 [2] has stated. Judging by the pictures, the Pontiac’s a total loss. We hope the car’s owner is OK, even if he was playing the Smokey and the Bandit theme song a little too close to heart.

Although the source doesn't say how old the driver actually is, they do refer to him as "the young man," making us believe he was in his teens or early 20's. Shame about the car too.
