Mopar Graveyard – The Place Where Muscle Cars Go To Die

[1]Many of us search for years for just the right project car. We pour over classified ads every weekend, and make quick surfs of Craigslist and eBay a part of our daily routines. We cruise up and down alley ways and patrol forgotten back-roads all in hopes that someday we’ll finally find “The One.”

The saddest thing in the world is to know that while we are religiously looking for just one car to restore and enjoy, hundreds if not thousands of original muscle cars are sitting out in the elements all across America – simply eroding and rusting away with every passing day. They sit for months, years, and decades until Mother Nature’s toll finally renders them completely beyond repair. With each flake of rust that falls from these cars an irreplaceable piece of the American Muscle Car heritage also crumbles away, gone forever.

The photos you see here come to us via Cars in Barns [3], and are of a junkyard somewhere in Pennsylvania, where stacks and stacks of E-body ‘Cudas and other Mopars are piled on top of one another and left to rot away. From our point of view, this place depicts horrors that are more like those of a graveyard than a normal junkyard. It’s hard to look at these pictures and not imagine what could’ve been done with these cars if the right person saved them in time. Please do your part to rescue a muscle car before it’s too late.
