If you remember the big My Classic Garage giveaway from 2013, they handed over the keys to a fully restored 1970 Plymouth HEMICuda, and what an awesome car that was. The contestants only needed to enter the contest, not buy a bunch of magazines, order performance parts, or show a receipt from an authorized dealer. They simply needed to register for the giveaway and they were entered.
While the HEMI ‘Cuda is one helluva car, it’s hard to imagine topping a beast like that, but My Classic Garage is back at it again for 2014 with a little bit of a twist. You still have to enter your email and register in order to win the car, but this year takes a little more brainpower to enter the contest. You see, there are three cars this year, and only one of them will get restored and built – and YOU get to vote for your favorite.
The three cars to choose from are the only drawback to this contest, because it’s just so damn hard to choose which one is your favorite! If you’re a brand-specific kinda person, it will probably be a bit easier for you to pick one. But if you’re like us, then the choice of the 1967 Ford Mustang, 1968 Dodge Coronet, or the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro will be one of the hardest parts of the contest. Viewers get to vote for which car My Classic Car will restore, and the one lucky winner will be handed the keys to that car once the restoration is complete.
Oh, but now that you’ve picked your favorite – don’t think for a minute that all you have to do is sit back and enjoy the ride. Oh no, my friend, because once a car is selected, you also get to help choose which performance parts will get installed during the build and restoration. If you’re the lucky winner at the end of the year, then you will most definitely want to cast your vote on what parts get installed, so be sure to follow along with the build!
Oh yeah, just one other thing: you only have until March 7, 2014, to help choose the car, and then the real fun begins. So which is it? The ‘Stang? The Mopar? Or will you go for a timeless favorite, the ’69 Camaro? Hurry on over to My Classic Garage and cast your vote!
