New Header Orange Color Spotted on the ’12 Dodge Challenger

With every new model year comes changes in available automotive options on certain vehicles. For 2012, Dodge is launching a new orange color on the Challenger models that is getting some attention for its classic muscle looks and improvement on a previously offered shade. Recently, Allpar.com [2] got some images of the Challenger in the new color, and we must say, it’s much better than first expected.

Header Orange is the replacement color for Toxic Orange Pearl, a burnt orange color available on many 2011 Dodge vehicles, including the Challenger. The new orange will be available on all of the 2012 Challenger models, including the R/T, SXT and the exclusive SRT8 392. It joins Blackberry Pearl, Pitch Black, Bright Silver Metallic, Bright White, Redline 3, and Tungsten Metallic for the 2012 model year.

The featured Header Orange Challenger seen above is equipped with the R/T Classic package, which included the throwback 20-inch aluminum wheels. For 2011, the color of choice for the R/T Classic package was the Green With Envy hue, which the Header Orange color will replace.

With the ‘12s hitting dealerships as we speak, you can expect to see the Header Orange cars out on display at a dealer in your area. We look forward to seeing how the new color looks in person and will be watching to see how well it does as far as sales go.
