Classic Industries, the recognized leader in GM restoration parts and accessories worldwide, today announced brand new reproduction center consoles for 1975-1979 Chevy Nova vehicles.
Whether made of metal or soft urethane, factory consoles see a lot of wear and tear over a car’s lifetime. While a metal console isn’t affected as badly from the seasonal changing elements, the sun can wreak havoc on a console made from urethane, causing it to warp, become brittle and eventually crack. A worn out or cracked console with a textured finish can be difficult or impossible to restore. With no service replacements available, the only alternative would be to find a new old stock (NOS) console, or to cover the old console in new material; both options can be extremely expensive, with the latter ruining the originality of the vehicle’s interior.
Manufactured by OER, Classic Industries’ new console is a faithful reproduction of the assembly originally installed on 1975-79 Chevrolet Nova models equipped with automatic transmissions. Each console features the correct grain textured finish and silver stamped trim as original, and comes with internal brackets to stabilize the base. This product requires the original console brackets in order to mount properly, and installation hardware including clips and screws are included.
