If there’s anything that we could say about Mopar muscle, it’s that the brand and their fanbase have introduced us to a lot of wild car color schemes over the years. As radical in appearance as they are performance-built, Mopar cars and trucks, ever since the original reign of muscle car America, have brought to the scene some of the auto market’s most outlandish paint jobs.
Historically speaking, the imagination has been the only limit to what kind of trick, cosmetic motifs are pumped out of the Mopar think tank. Over the years, the Chrysler performance community has witnessed everything from “Panther Pink” to “Plum Crazy,” and this tradition of making Chrysler muscle shine bright in the sun is one that has spilled-over into 2013.
That’s because CarBuzz and Vossen Wheels out of Miami, Florida have presented us with a feature, late-model Charger that uses one of the car scene’s latest paint-and-body creations, a matte finish that adds a rather candied look to the new age Mopar. Our featured ride’s blue matte finish consists of a vinyl wrap that’s very unlike any kind of coat we’ve ever seen on a Dodge sedan, but whether or not it’s the wave of the future or an industry flop depends on the buying market.
A manufacturer of aftermarket wheels with more than 25 years of industry experience, Vossen offers custom fittings for nearly any ride, sizes ranging from 19 to 22″-inches with all wheels featuring optimum brake clearance and tire pressure sensor compatibility.
With an awesome set of custom wheels from Vossen and a matte blue, vinyl finish that’s over-the-top, our featured Charger is one Mopar that defies the laws of Pink Panther and Canary Yellow gravity, but can vinyl wraps like the one on our featured sled set a standard in the auto body industry? We’ll take a guess that it’s very much possible, though clearly yet to be seen…
