Video: Kid Rock’s Car Collection For The Detroit Autorama

[1]What do you do when you’re a big-time rock star from Detroit who has all of the fame, fortune, and babes you could want? Well, if your name’s Kid Rock and you can count Pam Anderson among your former conquests, you invest in classic and custom cars, that’s what you do.

The guys from WRIF [2], Detroit’s hometown rock station, teamed up with Made In Detroit [3], a clothing-and-more brand owned by the Kid himself, to show off the Kid’s cars at this weekend’s upcoming Autorama [4] show. As the biggest custom car gathering in the Detroit area short of the Woodward Dream Cruise, Autorama is one of those destinations any gearhead should have on their bucket list. We’ve been there, and we can say it’s awesome – definitely not a show to be missed if you’re in the area of the D this weekend.

A wide variety of Kid’s collection will be on display, including a bagged-and-slammed Impala built by none other than Jesse James himself, one of Jesse’s custom-built choppers, and an interesting ’64 convertible Bonneville that even has a Hank Williams Jr. connection. There’s even a 10th Anniversary 1979 Pontiac Trans Am that Kid’s had completely restored and brought back to life.

There will also be a number of custom one-off pieces from Kid’s personal items like a guitar that will be auctioned off for charity on Sunday. You may remember that Kid Rock’s a huge car nut – the late, great Steve Grebeck’s Pro 5.0 car was even featured in Kid’s video for “Forever”, seen below. Keep in mind that the video is NSFW and enjoy a little bit of the American Badass for yourself.
