Convertibles are wonderful in sunny Southern California thanks to mild winters in comparison to the rest of the country. Just cruising along with the top down on a 80-degree Christmas day is amazing, but for those without a topless ride, crank windows can be frustrating if the weather changes.
Everyone has heard that California is in drought and rainy days are about as rare as unicorn farts, but drizzle can happen. Just imagine the convenience of power windows in your hot rod or classic car. You get stuck in traffic while behind the wheel of your classic sedan and mythical droplets of water begin to fall from the sky.
If you are by yourself, then one must pull over to roll up the windows or face ruining your interior, or drive around with trained monkey just in case of weather changes. Obviously, there are laws against having a chimp or other trained primate, but wouldn’t it just be easier to convert your car over to power windows?
I am not sure if Michael Jackson’s former pet, Bubbles is still alive and looking for employment, but a chimp in traffic is just asking for trouble. So, if you have been a good little boy or girl, then add a few goodies from Watson’s StreetWorks to your Christmas list.
Watson’s offers kits to upgrade your classic with modern conveniences, such as power windows. Other kits come with a basic plastic switch, but Watson’s offers a variety of billet switches to complement the rest of your ride.
