When it comes to properly feeding your engine, the carburetor is more than just an integral part, it’s the food source. The four-barrel carburetor has been around for as long as any of us can remember, and when Quick Fuel Technology introduced their Street-Q series unit at PRI, our interest was piqued.
Mark Wells of Quick Fuel explained, “The big difference between the Street-Q and our other Q-Series carburetors is that it utilizes an all-cast construction. This construction allows us to get the price to where it is a very competitively-priced piece.”
The new Street-Q carburetor is designed to deliver the performance you require for your street car, at a very competitive price. This carburetor is affordable, but the quality is still apparent. You get two-circuit metering, down-leg boosters, changeable idle and high speed air bleeds, and four-corner idle adjustments. The universal design of the throttle lever works with the Ford automatic transmission kickdown, 700R4 bracket mounting holes, and even has the ability to mount brackets for Chrysler vehicles. The Street-Q is available in 650, 750, 850, and 950 cfm with mechanical secondaries, and a 750 cfm vacuum-secondary is also an option.
