When a company can legitimately claim that they have decades of experience when it comes to manufacturing, designing, and engineering innovation, you know they must be doing something right. Strange Engineering is one of those companies, and has a rich racing history, and a relentless need to innovate parts for all enthusiasts. Strange Engineering even supplies OE rear housings for Ford’s Cobra Jet Mustang, Chevrolet’s COPO Camaro, and Mopar’s Drag Pak Challenger.

When we stopped at the Strange booth during the SEMA show, J.C. Cascio told us, “Strange Engineering has been in business for more than 50 years, and while axles have always been our flagship product, we always focus on all areas of driveline and suspension components.”

One of those products that caught our eye was their aluminum-bodies shocks. J.C. continued, “We have single- and double-adjustable, bolt-in aluminum-bodied shocks for both the front and rear of Chevy, Ford, and Chrysler applications.” Their aluminum shocks make suspension tuning easy, because the adjuster knob(s) are at the bottom of the shock body, and within easy reach. There is a wide range of valving options available, and that allows each shock to be utilized for any situation, be it street, strip, and road race applications. These shocks can also be customized to specific lengths, strokes, and valving, depending on the needs of the customer.

If there is one driveline part that Strange is most known, it is their line of axles. J.C. let us know that, while axles with larger diameters and extra splines are a mainstay for Strange, they also have axles that are not only race-ready, but if you are looking to upgrade your original rear axles, factory-spec units are available in a higher-quality material. Improving you axle’s strength is just an easy install away.

Although Strange is known for their race-quality parts, J.C, also filled us in on Strange’s complete rearend availability, “When it comes to rearends, we can supply a complete, factory-style 12-bolt, Dana 60, or Ford 9-inch for any car, and it installs as easily as the original.”
