Barn Find: A ’65 Chevy Impala That’s Straight As An Arrow

s-l1600-4

Now that it has been dragged out from its hiding place, it’s apparent that this fourth-generation 1965 Chevrolet Impala has all the makings to be something great. The body appears to be in immaculate shape, and a majority of its original components are still in place, so how can you go wrong with this Impala?

We’re, not touting this to be the perfect find. A look underneath, and you can see there is some rust that is present, although it is minimal. But, being covered with a satin black primer does give the car a cool look, and we’re sure you all realize how hard these days to find an old school Impala with pristine body lines that is free of damage.

The car was removed from storage in Morrow, Georgia, and looks to be worth the time and effort to restore, or even use as a restomod platform. In case you were wondering, we’re told that the stainless trim that was removed from the car is in the trunk.

The owner, Beto Retolaza, said the Impala’s body was originally Aqua Green, and a look at the door jambs and interior color scheme, makes it apparent what the original color of this Chevy truly was. “The car needs plenty of tender loving care, but it fires up in a heartbeat,” Retolaza said.

When looking at the images, it appears that there are no holes in the floor or trunk, and that this Impala is in decent shape, but a full inspection should be done to ensure the sturdiness and condition of the metal before proceeding with anything else.

So what are your thoughts? would you restore or modify this gem of a find? We’d love to hear your feedback and find out what you would do first to this old school Impala.
