Would you trust ordinary tie-down straps to hold a cow in the bed of an SRT10 Ram while it races around at Nurburgring? How about Quickloader straps? Sounds like a challenge for the crew of Top Gear! In the video, a SRT10 Ram sets the world record for cow transport on the famed raceway. And yes, we know how strange that sounds, but we’ll bet you watch it anyway.
Don’t worry P.E.T.A., we don’t mean a real cow! Even though the cow is plastic, like the ones you may see gracing a sign or side yard of a farm house, it still makes for a rather comical video. Tied down with Quickloader Retractable Ratchet Tie-Downs, the cow stays quite well in the bed of the SRT while it races around the track. Even skidding around corners doesn’t seem to be an issue for the tie-downs, or the cow.
While watching the SRT skid around the track from afar is entertaining enough, the shots from the rear of the cow are the best, showing exactly what our plastic dairy friend saw as he flew around corners, passed other drivers and was even chased by a sport bike of some kind.
We hope you enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime debut of an SRT10 Ram racing to grab the world record for cow transport at Nurburgring. And if you’re going to attempt to steal the record from the SRT, it looks like you’re going to have to complete your lap in less than 46 seconds. Just some food for thought.
