When it comes to automotive TV programs, nothing can beat the surprise of a lifetime some automotive enthusiasts got when their vehicle was selected for Overhaulin’, a show on TLC dedicated to transforming cars into their unsuspecting owners’ dream machines in a limited time frame before a surprise reveal. But since 2009, the show has been off the air, making room for other programs. Thanks to Classic Industries and Chip Foose, however, that’s no longer the case as Overhaulin’ is making a comeback on Discovery’s Velocity network with Classic Industries as a restoration partner for the series.  Just like the first seasons, the new Overhaulin’ series will follow the same format of “kidnapping” unsuspecting owners cars to completely overhaul them in a week’s time. Classic Industries is proud to be part of the relaunch of the program, having participated in the original 5-season run, as well as other automotive programs like Car Warriors and Chop, Cut, Rebuild on the SPEED Channel.

“Overhaulin’ was a truly important show that pushed automotive restoration to the forefront of TV and put the muscle car hobby in front of a new audience.” Classic Industries CEO Jeff Leonard said in a press release from the company. “We’re proud to work with Chip Foose to bring Overhaulin’ back to the air.”

The new season of Overhaulin’ started this week on the Velocity network with a bang. Chip Foose and the Overhaulin’ gang have taken on a 1965 Impala from an unsuspecting Marine Corps veteran who was actually forced to sell the car to support his family. With Classic Industries as a primary supporter, Foose and the “A-Team” are currently in the process of doctoring up this classic Chevy before the big reveal on October 8th.
