August is coming to a close, and the little ones are back in school. Well, fortunately, there’s no rules against having fun on the weekends here in the good ole US of A, and the National Street Rod Association is a proud purveyor of keeping Saturdays and Sundays full of fun and delight as they gear up for the Street Rod Nationals North in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Taking place September 12th through the 14th, the festivities are anything but a normal Show-n-Shine like you might expect elsewhere. On the contrary, NSRA, as a recognized and well-organized circuit, offers you and your family a host of informational outlets on its website, where you can browse around and find out what to expect.
One cool aspect to NSRA events is its swap meet, where you’ll be able to mix and mingle with fellow enthusiasts to exchange items for practically any hot rod in existence. Water pumps, hubcaps, dashboard knobs and switches, and other odds and ends can be found here; all those difficult parts that would cost you hours in the hot sun, dodging broken bits of glass in the junkyard, can likely be discovered at the swap meet.
Another nice attraction about NSRA events is the Woman’s World venue, where your lady can shop around for clothing and accessories on full display. This is a great opportunity to support local start-up businesses, whom are often found selling their wares as part of Women’s World. If nothing else, it’s a quiet respite from all of the mechanical goings-on just outside the tent.
So clear your calendar, bust out the detailing polish, and bring the family along for another great weekend. Find out more by visiting NSRA on the web, and don’t forget to Like them on Facebook for photos, videos, announcements, and more.
