The fastest street cars in the world are heading to Royal Purple Raceway in Baytown, Texas for TX2K18 March 15-18. TX2K18 will be using the same drag racing and roll racing event combination this year at Royal Purple Raceway. This allows all the fans and racers to be in the same place for all the racing action when it begins. Jason Miller is going to be preparing the track again so the racers will have the best surface possible to put the power down.

There will be an assortment of horsepower-filled eye candy on display at TX2K18 for fans to check out: the fastest street-driven GTR’s, Lamborghini’s, Supra’s, Viper’s, Vette’s, Mustang’s, and Camaro’s are going to be at TX2K18 trying to win on the track or put down some huge horsepower numbers on the dyno. With all the trash talking that has been going on since TX2K17, there will be plenty of rivalries that need to be settled during the weekend.

The Roll Race Nationals that occur during TX2K18 are going to feature some hot competition between the biggest shops and brands in the world. Last year Underground Racing won the Roll Race Nationals with one of their Twin Turbo Lamborghini’s, holding off some of the fastest GTRs in the world. This year Dallas Performance and Calvo Motorsports are going to be gunning for Underground Racing’s king of the Roll Race Nationals title.

On the drag racing side of things, the 2JZ class will be one of the best to watch all weekend, with the fastest Toyota Supra’s in the world taking on all other 2JZ-powered rivals. Last year at TX2K17 the first ever six-second GTR pass was made with much fanfare and celebration. Now the GTR world record is held in the Middle East and teams here in the United States will be trying to reset that record and bring it home.

The drag strip at Royal Purple Raceway is going to be very busy when TX2K18 gets rolling; there will be four different GTR classes packed with everything from stock cars all the way to full-blown racecars running on the ragged edge. There will also be a Street Car class, some 10.50 index racing, a Stick Shift Challenge class, and some two-wheel action in the Motorcycle class. If all of that wasn’t enough, there will be the Night Meet on Friday night, free dyno pulls all weekend, and a bikini contest.

With so much horsepower on display, TX2K18 is going to be an amazing event to see. All of the racing at Royal Purple Raceway is sure to keep fans on the edge of their seats March 15-18.
