Earlier this year, we brought you a video of the “Reaper Camaro” which is owned by HP Motorsports which is located in Katy, Texas. This time, we have the pleasure of sharing High Tech Corvette‘s video of their run-in with this fearsome beast. While changes aren’t drastic with the Reaper Camaro this time around, we thought they were worth sharing with everyone anyways.
With the Reaper Camaro in “kill mode” the car was able to put down an astonishing 1,235.1 horsepower and 1,140.3 lb-ft of torque to the wheels on the dyno. And incase you didn’t notice, that was on 275-wide street tires too. The owner of the car, Josh Hofstra, is also a tuner for HP Motorsports – so it’s not surprise how reliable this Camaro runs and drives from the video.
Hofstra explains that the car isn’t even at it’s full potential yet, stating that the block can handle much more. Using a Turbo 400 transmission, he plans to bring his Camaro to around 35 pounds of boost, which he says should put him around 1,600 to 1,700 horsepower to the wheels, with a 200 or 300 shot of nitrous as well.
