As a true car guy or gal, you’ve undoubtedly seen the show Overhaulin’ with Chip Foose, or at least heard of it. The Velocity by Discovery cable show takes classic cars that need a bit of extra help and spice them up for an unknowing owner. The bad part is, if you don’t have cable, you’ll only get to see snippets of the latest episodes online. That is until we came across this lone episode of Overhaulin’ uploaded to YouTube that just happened to feature one of our favorite cars- a 1967 Camaro. Whether you didn’t set your DVR the first time or don’t subscribe to cable, now’s your chance to see a crazy cool Chevy build the Overhaulin’ way.
Owned by Bernie Federmann, this classic first-generation Camaro was bought sight-unseen. Fortunately for him, the car turned out to be in good condition but with a busy work schedule Federmann didn’t quite have the means to complete the interior or individualize the car. So his wife contacted the only people she knew could do the job properly- the A-Team from Overhaulin’.
Pro-Touring.com from our friends at TCI Engineering showcasing some of the components they were responsible for in this Overhaulin’ build. What we will say is that what the crew did to this car involved many TCI chassis components, a brand spankin’ new 427ci Chevy engine and Foose Huntington Blue Pearl paint. Needless to say, the Overhaulin’ crew didn’t exactly stick with just finishing details for the interior. Check out the before, during and after of the build in the video above.
