Until just a few years ago, classic station wagons and El Caminos were largely used as parts donor cars. Today, the GM A-body wagons and El Camino are highly sought after, and are routinely being built to show and cruise. Schwartz Performance loves these vehicles and was determined to help the A-Body and Elco communities with their build and restomod needs.

To that aim, the G-Machine Chassis is formed with a pair of heavy duty mandrel bent rectangular steel main frame rails that will roll right in place of the stock frame, and line up directly to the factory body mount locations with no floor or bed modifications required.

The long list of standard equipment for their G-Machine Chassis includes tall RideTech Coilovers, a power rack and pinion, full floating Moser 9-inch with gears and a Truetrac, splined sway bars and 6-piston Wilwood calipers with 13″ rotors up front and 12″ rotors and 4-pistons in the rear.

The G-Machine Chassis is designed to accomodate nearly any Chevy drivetrain and features an adjustable transmission mount. In fact, Schwartz Performance can supply any engine desired, including an LT1 or LT4, 8-speed automatic or even an old-school small or big block.

Schwartz Performance was founded on the premise that race-car performance can be had with street-car convenience, reliability, and comfort. Their master fabricators build their chassis completely in-house and continuously prove their performance and longevity by testing at numerous events every year

Since opening their doors in 2005, Schwartz Performance has developed over 28 track-tested chassis for GM, Ford and Mopar models, and are constantly doing research and development for new products.

Their chassis and cars have won the Car Craft Magazine Real Street Eliminator performance shootout a record 8 times, and won the Popular Hot Rodding “Muscle Car of the Year” performance shootout in 2013. In both 2013 and 2017 they were voted Car Craft Magazine Pro-Builder of the Year.
