Holiday Gift Idea: Brixton & Chevy Team Up For Killer Clothing

With Thanksgiving in the rearview and Christmas quickly approaching, I’m sure many of you are scrambling to find gifts for your loved ones. If you’re anything like me, you’ll wait til’ the last minute. That’s why I decided to put something on your radar that might help with that problem.

Most car people favor a certain brand. Whether that is because of the brand’s heritage, model range, engine family, or design aesthetics is based on the individual. Well, the folks at Chevrolet knew that and decided to incorporate all of those elements into the latest Chevy/Brixton clothing collaboration.

Chevy teamed up with the gearheads and clothiers at Brixton to create a line inspired by Bowtie heritage that appeals to all. In the video above, you can see a hot rod tri-five Chevy pickup, a ’73 Malibu Classic, a mid-’70s Squarebody dually, and even a G-series van. Like all of those quintessential Chevys, the clothing line caters to all walks of life.

Maybe your brother is a good ol’ farmboy driving a Squarebody and needs a new cowboy hat. Perhaps your cousin likes to tear up the asphalt in a hopped-up Chevelle and needs to let everyone know Chevy is the heartbeat of America. Hell, your sister or girlfriend might even be wearing one of your old Chevy tee shirts right now.

Regardless, there’s truly something for everyone in this clothing line, and I’ve included some of my favorites from the collection below.

To me, it doesn’t get any cooler than that old slogan, “The Heartbeat Of America.” It just screams heritage and harkens back to “No Fear” stickers and those pull-tab red and white Budweiser cans. A time before light beer, when you shifted your four gears by hand.

These overalls are cool because they’re pretty sharp looking and they’re functional. It’s the details I really love about them. Note the Bowtie stitching on the knee patches, and the trademark Chevy logo on the chest pocket. I could definitely see myself turning wrenches and busting knuckles in the garage with these bad boys on.

I love how the color options for all the items in the line correspond to Chevy cars and trucks. The tee shirt above, for example, can be had in either “Bel-Air Black,” or “El Camino White.” The design totally reminds me of those old iron-on tee shirts from the late ’70s. This one just happens to feature one nasty ’55 Chevy!

Last, but certainly not least, I really dig this NASCAR-inspired long-sleeve tee. It features a 6th-gen Camaro tearing through, and with the checkered flag pattern and Chevy Racing livery, it reminds me of an old Dale Earnhardt tee shirt. I can just picture thick mustaches, dark sunglasses, and “Do it for Dale,” stickers everywhere.

Well, these are my top picks from the collection, but as I mentioned before, there are a bunch of items to choose from. From a cowboy hat to a duck canvas vest – check out the Brixton website, and decide for yourself. Just don’t get caught up shopping for yourself and forget to make those last-minute Christmas gift buys.
