PRI 2019: Billet Specialties Offers Tru Trac Drive For LSA And LT4

If you own an LS-swapped vehicle, odds are you’re pretty proud of your ride. After all, you’ve worked hard on your car and enjoy showing it off, right? While factory components are good enough for the OEM, sometimes they don’t look that good under the hood of a hotrod. However, if you have an LSA or LT4-powered vehicle, you’re in luck. Billet Specialties now offers a brand new supercharged accessory drive that not only looks better than the factory — it performs better as well.

The LSA and LT4 Tru Trac is a no-holds-barred approach to a serpentine-drive system. Billet Specialties use only the best brands in the automotive aftermarket for its accessories. The drives include a Powermaster 170 amp one-wire alternator, Sanden SD7 A/C compressor, Tuff Stuff power-steering pump, ARP fasteners, Continental Poly V-belts, ATI Performance Products Super Damper, and an Edlebrock water pump.

Unlike some of the other aftermarket drives on the market, Billet Specialties utilizes two separate accessory drives: one for the accessory components, and one for the supercharger. This design is easier on the accessory component’s bearings due to it needing less belt tension.

The Tru Trac components are hard-coat anodized for durability in high belt-wear areas. The pulleys, brackets, and covers are precision-machined and then anodized black. Stainless-steel hardware is included with the system and is corrosion resistant. This system also adds the compressor manifold, power-steering hardline, factory GM supercharger tensioner, preinstalled power steering, and alternator pulleys.

You can rest assured knowing the Tru Trac drive system is top-notch because Billet Specialties has more than 15 years of experience in manufacturing them. The units are even dyno tested by Don Hardy Race Engines. Scott Sandoval, product manager at Billet Specialties, explains, “We dyno all of our accessory drives to make sure there are no issues. We will also look at the tensioners and accessories to make sure that someone who buys this unit is not going to be stranded on the side of the road.” This is why the Tru Trac systems are used by some of the nation’s top builders.

The LSA TruTrac system will fit the GM LSA wet-sump engine, LSA E-Rod, and Camaro ZL-1 crate engines. Naturally, the LT4 will work on GM LT4 crate engines. For more information on these hot products and others, be sure and check out BilletSpecialties.com.
