Win TWO Corvettes And Dream Giveaway Will Pay The Taxes!

There’s a saying, “No good deed goes unpunished.” But if the punishment for helping people is finding room in your garage to put TWO awesome Corvettes— where do we sign up? (We’ll get to that in a bit.)

But first, let’s take a look at the cars in question. Dream Giveaway has been offering some of the world’s leading prize packages as a way of helping various charitable organizations throughout the year. They combine some incredible cars and trucks to be awarded to one lucky individual who holds the winning ticket. As an added bonus, Dream Giveaway also tosses in the extra coin to pay for the taxes associated with the winnings!

Whether you prefer the newest offering or a vintage vibe, Dream Giveaway has you covered.

Corvettes have always been dear to the folks at Dream Giveaway and this year’s prize package consists of a brand-new 2020 Corvette and a better-than-new 1962 Corvette. Both cars make over 400 horsepower, thanks to the LT2 in the C8 and the C1’s 430hp, 376ci LS3 engine. While the mid-engine 2020 Corvette is designed to handle that level of performance (it actually has about 65 more horsepower), Chevrolet engineers likely never even dreamed that much performance could find its way under the hood of a C1.

This '62 Corvette features numerous upgrades while still allowing the car to keep that 60s feel.

To that end, this car now uses an Art Morrison chassis to keep the power to the pavement. Along with the CAD-designed frame, the Art Morrison chassis features grippy Wilwood brakes, 17-inch wheels, and tires all around, and a 4L65E transmission to get things going. Body mods bring the car into the modern age while still holding firm to those classy C1 lines. Updated lighting, hot, Salsa Red paint, and a peek-a-boo ZR1 hood insert will let everyone know that this is NOT your grandfather’s C1 Corvette! The interior of the ’62 has been upgraded to the same spec as the rest of the car and features air conditioning, power steering, AutoMeter gauges, and even a power-lift hood!

Win A C8!

Coupling a vintage Corvette with a brand-new 2020 C8 Corvette ensures that this prize package brings something that many people would love to have. Dream Giveaway got their order in early, and they’re able to offer this car when many folks’ orders have been bumped to 2021. As such, this first-year production C8 has all the goodies that folks want in their new Corvette. Of course, there’s that LT2 engine mounted mid-ship, but this car also features the 3LT Coupe Equipment package which adds a 14-speaker Bose audio system, performance data, and video recorder, heated and ventilated GT2 seats, and GM’s premium infotainment system.

The 2020 Corvette features all the greatness that is the C8, plus a nice helping of options to round out the order form.

Performance-wise, the car also includes Corvette’s Z51 package, which upgrades items such as the brakes, tires, exhaust, engine cooling system, and rear differential. Other add-ons checked by the fine folks at Dream Giveaway includes the carbon fiber roof package, magnetic ride control, carbon fiber ground effects package, carbon flash-painted high-wing spoiler, two-tone seats, various carbon-fiber interior bits, and black-painted trident wheels.

Both cars have equal performance but present it in entirely different ways. You CAN have your cake and eat it too!

Subdued And Sinister

We had a little get-to-know time behind the wheel of each of these Corvettes and it was interesting how their performance was very similar but so different. Refinement has always been a Corvette staple and the 2020 Corvette is clearly a high-water mark in that regard. Driving the car on the street, the extent to which the vehicle’s electronic controls dictate the car’s characteristics is virtually seamless unless you start twisting knobs and changing settings. The engine controls do their darnedest to make the low-rpm drive as seamless as possible but open up huge tin-can of whoopin’ when the tall, skinny pedal gets punched. Civility meets the hulk could be a good way of understanding it.

As far as the ’62 Corvette is concerned, there is still that same performance slant, but with a lot less oversight by the car’s innards. The LS3 crate engine has all the performance of a wild, blown-out big-block with the idle characteristics of a modern, daily-driver. The difference between the C1 and the C8 is when the pedal gets pushed. Between the weight differential and the lack of under-dash nannies, that LS engine will keep you on your toes! As drivable as it is, a short push of the loud pedal equals a long stretch of roadway in your rear-view.

Which one do you think YOU would drive more often? You'll never know if you don't get a chance to win these TWO Corvettes!

The two cars bring performance to an incredible prize package that is sure to help those who need it most. The nice thing about combining the two is each one presents it differently, the C8 is the epitome of refinement and handling, while the C1, even with all its modern upgrades, brings a much more visceral experience, as one would expect from a vintage Corvette. For the lucky winner, the decision as to which car to drive can easily be addressed by what driving experience they desire. It is nice to have options!
