This DSE factory-style fast-ratio power steering rack-and-pinion fits 1998-2002 Camaro/Firebird. “Detroit Tuned” valving is employed for a performance feel for street or racing applications. Quick ratio gearing with 2-1/4 turns lock-to-lock.
The rack is built with all new components and undergoes a rigorous quality check and performance testing before shipment. For you early fourth-gen owners, DSE has you covered as well. The steering rack can be retrofitted to 1993-1999 vehicles that came from the factory with an LT1 (Gen II small block) or V6 engines, That’s an upgrade over the stock factory OEM 2.63 steering ratio.
