C8 Corvette Gets The West Coast Customs Treatment

The clean-sheet design of the C8 Corvette has been a blank palette for designers and those wanting to stand out from the crowd. The team at West Coast Customs has made it their passion to provide stylish designs using various cars as the foundation.

It takes a special person to take a brand-new C8 and begin disassembling it for modification. All in a day’s work for the team at WCC!

It goes without saying that WCC’s customers would not be considered your matching-numbers crowd. Check out the video below, and you can see exactly what it takes for the WCC team to take a C8 Corvette even further to make it stand out from all the others.

Customizing The C8 Corvette

The C8 Corvette has been the darling of customizers in both the digital realm and reality. So this particular C8 Corvette gets the full-on West Coast Customs treatment inside and out. Of course, the first thing you’ll notice is the Carbon Creations wide body kit that stretches the haunches of the C8 to fit those stylish Forgiato Wheels.

The wide body kit helps cover those massive tires and wheels but the original body of the Corvette needed a trim to keep them from rubbing.

Another body modification you’ll likely notice once this Corvette accelerates past you would be the McLaren-Esque rear exhaust that now exits mid-point on the car’s rear fascia. Exhaust manufacturer Magnaflow supplied all the components so the WCC team could custom-fabricate the exotic-looking exhaust. An extra-high wing is also added to keep your attention until the Corvette is a blur in the distance.

The body was further modified to bring the engine more easily into view and also allow for the bumper-exiting exhaust treatment.

This custom C8 has a presence even when sitting still, thanks to the Air Ride Equipment air bag suspension giving it that coiled stance and those vertical doors easing ingress and egress when necessary. While this Corvette left the Bowling Green Assembly plant wearing a white exterior, the guys at WCC wrapped the exterior in varying glosses of black to give the car’s exterior contrast and definition.

With everything trimmed and fitted, the WCC team began wrapping the entire car in its new black hue.

Everything comes together in this highly-customized C8 to escalate a desirable car from being not-so-ordinary to extraordinary. The team at WCC has definitely hit the ball out of the park with this build. Check out the video and see for yourself!
