Their new product, the 3-inch Drop Rear Lowering Leaf Springs with Install Kit (PN SP317), is specifically engineered for 1967-69 GM F-Bodies and 1968-74 GM X-Bodies.
This kit solves the common problem with these vintage vehicles: old leaf springs that sag and rust after some time. The SP317 replaces worn-out components with a high-performance three-leaf design that lowers the rear of the vehicle by three inches while also improving ride quality and handling.
This BMR Suspension is attained by a carefully chosen 190 lb/in spring rate that will reduce body roll and increase cornering stability without creating an uncomfortable ride.
The kit, SP317, has everything necessary to make the upgrade as smooth as possible. This consists of new rubber bushings, axle pads, and U-bolts. This is aimed at making sure that there is a quiet and smooth ride while making installation easier. The estimated time for installation (according to BMR) is around 2-3 hours.
