In the high-octane automotive performance world, Dodge has upped the ante with its new, special edition 2025 Durango SRT Hellcat Hammerhead. This limited production model is the swan song for Mopar’s legacy and a fitting finale to two decades of HEMI-powered Durango vehicles.
First up, Dodge’s commemorative SUV gets an exclusive colorway called Night Moves—a deep, dark blue contrasted with Hammerhead Grey Laguna leather seats and SRT Hellcat logos crisply embroidered on the seatbacks. All of this is punctuated with a Satin Black painted hood and aggressive Satin Carbon 20-inch wheels, like dressing up a linebacker in a tuxedo.
Under the hood, the Durango Hammerhead houses a 710 horsepower, supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI Hellcat V-8 engine. Buckle up, because this powerhouse catapults from 0 to 60 mph in a mere 3.5 seconds. Need a bigger hit of speed? Keep going, and it covers the quarter-mile in just 11.5 seconds. Whether tearing down the highway or burning up the track, the Hammerhead delivers old-school HEMI performance.
Inside, the Hammerhead spoils you with premium features. The 10.1-inch touchscreen with navigation keeps you on the right path while wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto seamlessly connect your digital life. Wireless charging ensures your devices stay juiced up, and the 19-speaker Harman Kardon system turns the cabin into a concert hall. And yes, there’s a sunroof—for those moments when you want some fresh air along with the fury of the Mopar mill.
The 2025 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Hammerhead is now available for ordering at dealerships. But exclusivity comes at a price—the starting MSRP is $113,720. For those who want a perfect blend of power, luxury, and rarity, this buffed-up Durango awaits.
There’s no time to sit on the fence, folks. Snatch one up, or forever hold your peace. With Tim Kuniskas and the LX cars (Charger, Challenger, 300) gone forever, Stellantis is in a pickle. In killing all its muscle cars, they effectively wounded the goose that lays the golden egg. Now, they are doing the special edition thing with the Durango before putting it out of its misery.
The new Charger replacement can’t come soon enough, but the I6 Hurricane engine just doesn’t have the brand recognition of the HEMI. Maybe it will garner street cred over time because it is a very nice engine, but you can bet Dodge’s sales slide is directly correlated to the culling of its legacy cars. So, save your shekels and get down to your Dodge dealer before they’re gone…
Again, if you love Mopars and HEMIs, this Durango would be a nice way to hang on to the glory years. Buy one, tuck it away, and only take it out on a sunny day to grab a coffee and then torture the tires.
