Stolen Car Alert: 2002 Viper GTS Stolen By Swift Thief During Sale

acviper7 [1]Thieves are some of the lowest people you’ll ever come in contact with, and when it comes to our pride and joy – our vehicles – having one stolen can really make you want to put the hurt on someone. Yours truly has had it happen, and it’s an uneasy feeling to say the least; at first you wonder if it was all a dream, or if you are mistaken and parked it somewhere else.

acviper4 [2]That’s how you feel when you go out to a parking lot and your car is not there. But for one person here that we’ll focus on, the grand theft auto happened in an unusual way: during the sale of the vehicle, and the brazen car thief did something you’d never think would happen.

Anthony Carroll was just about to sell his car to a prospective buyer, and as he was printing out the bill of sale. Carroll’s red 2002 Viper GTS was about to change hands legally, but before the transaction could be completed the thief grabbed the keys off the desk and ran out of the office. Before he could get to him, the criminal was in the car and on his way down the road, a most unexpected turn of events, to say the least.

The car was stolen Friday evening, June 5th, from the Henderson, Nevada, area. According to Carroll, the thief is a white male in his early 20s with tattoos on both hands and his left wrist. So keep an eye out for a 2002 Dodge Viper GTS, red with white stripes with factory chrome wheels and a black and red interior. The car had a small chunk missing from the front bumper, and a California license plate.

acviper8 [3]Carroll suspects the car could be in the Las Vegas or Los Angeles area and asks that everyone watch for his Viper on car forums and Craigslist ads in the Southwest. There is a reward for information leading to the car thief and the Viper, so keep your eyes and ears peeled. If you know anything or have any information contact your local authorities. Spread the word!
