Coming up at the 2nd Barrett-Jackson Orange County auction at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, CA, June 24-26, is this matching numbers ’70 Dodge Challenger HEMI R/T. The second edition of this collector car event has grown enough that the organizers are bringing along a section of the Scottsdale Auction tent that measures nearly two football fields in length.

Owned as part of renowned car collector and successful entrepreneur David Parker’s collection, this Challenger has undergone a compete restoration with every attention to detail.

The car was optioned with the highly-sought after 426/425hp V8 HEMI engine with 4-speed manual transmission combination. The car is fully documented by Govier and provided with the car.

This vehicle’s schedule build date was Monday December 22, 1969 and it was built in the Hamtramck, MI assembly plant. Optioned with the 426cid two 4-barrel HEMI with 425hp, A833 4-speed manual transmission with Hurst Pistol Grip, Dana 60 Sure Grip rear end, EB5 blue exterior and black vinyl bucket seats, this Challenger is a top flight example of everything that was done right in this car.

Additional activities supplement the auction portion of the event. On June 18, the Barrett-Jackson Orange County Road Rally will feature an array of collectable automobiles owned by local car enthusiasts.

The Rally begins at noon, starting from the South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa and finishing at the OC Fair & Event Center. A Cruise-In is taking place the following day, between 10:00 am and noon, at Connell Chevrolet in Costa Mesa.

The OC event will also mark the first time in quite a while where the auctioneers will support the Reserve Bid wishes of consignors.

“Throughout Barrett-Jackson’s history, we have always remained committed to having an open dialogue with our customers about their wants and needs,” commented Steve Davis, President of Barrett-Jackson.
