The TMI Products booth at SEMA 2025 had one of the eye catching builds of the entire show — the all-carbon wide-body Scorched 1969 Mustang by Trick Rides. This isn’t just a car; it’s a complete, ground-up re-engineering of a classic that represents over 8,000 hours of meticulous labor. The Yukon, Oklahoma-based shop built the car entirely in its 31,000-square-foot facility, developing every single panel from aerospace-grade, pre-preg carbon fiber engineered by Brothers Carbon. Designed using advanced CAD modeling, this is the first restomod Mustang to be constructed entirely from the high-strength, lightweight material.

The heart of the Scorched 1969 Mustang is a 429-cubic-inch Kaase Boss Nine V8, paired with a TREMEC six-speed manual transmission. A Stainless Works exhaust system with MagnaFlow mufflers gives it a signature tone.
That powerhouse sits in a full Roadster Shop chassis, complete with an independent front suspension, Fox coilovers, and a parallel four-link rear with oversized sway bars. Massive Baer six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers provide stopping power, applied through three-piece Forgeline wheels wrapped in Continental ExtremeContact Force tires.

The Sinister Black finish lets the carbon weave show through, accented by flush-mounted glass and a host of Ringbrothers billet components, including the door handles, hinges, mirrors, and LED taillights. The interior, which is the centerpiece of its TMI booth debut, is a full custom affair. Trick Rides worked with TMI to design a driver-focused cabin that features TMI’s new high-back seats, handcrafted door panels, a bespoke center console, and classic German square-weave carpeting. “Scorched represents years of innovation and dedication to blend modern performance with classic Mustang heritage,” said Trick Rides founder Jason Engel.

This is a serious, limited-production vehicle. Trick Rides plans to produce only 20 examples, with each buyer able to customize the engine and finish.
“From the incredible partners we’ve chosen to work with to the aerodynamics of the carbon fiber, Scorched is the result of adding modern engineering to a timeless platform,” Trick Rides co-owner Jarred Morris said.
The Scorched 1969 Mustang is a true turnkey, high-end restomod that fuses modern engineering with one of the most iconic designs in muscle car history.
