The leading maker of premium one-piece forged aluminum race wheels, Forgeline Motorsports, has been selected as the optional wheel supplier for the Ford Shelby FP350S racecar.
Their GS1R 18 x 11-inch racing wheel is now the stand-alone upgrade wheel for the latest race-ready Mustang from Ford Performance.
Made from a one-piece forging of 6061-T6 aluminum, the GS1R is a highly durable, lightweight wheel with extreme stiffness and fatigue strength to withstand the stresses of racing. The wheel was designed using Forgeline’s computer-simulated FEA design process, which yields forgings that are 40-percent stronger than the latest cast aluminum technology. The GS1R‘s I-beamed spoke technology and monoblock construction allow for superb deflection stiffness and improved access to the lugs for faster wheel changes.
