Wilwood’s New Front Disc Brake Kits for 1955-60 Ford Thunderbirds

Wilwood is proud to release two of their newest products as they unveil front disc brake kits for the 1955-1957 Ford Thunderbird and 1958-1960 Ford Thunderbird. These great new kits are sure to be an upgrade from the factory drum brakes and get your classic ride stopped in a hurry.

Wilwood Classic Series front disc brake kits for 1955-1957 Thunderbirds provide an affordable way to update from Original Equipment (OE) drums on cars with 14” or 15” wheels. Dynalite Classic kits use 11.28” diameter one-piece rotor assemblies built specifically for the OE drum brake spindles. Dynalite forged aluminum 4-piston calipers, BP-10 compound SmartPads, mounting brackets, stainless steel braided DOT approved flex lines, and all the necessary hardware for a complete changeover are included in these “Made in the USA” kits.

Wilwood has developed four new kit configurations for upgrading the performance and styling of brake systems on classic era 1958-1960 Ford Thunderbirds. Disc brake kits covering applications from basic driver upgrades, to full-blown pro-touring style big brake customs, are now available for use with the Original Equipment drum brake spindles. Options for caliper finish and rotor style, a full range of pad compounds, and matching kits for the popular big and small bearing Ford rear axles, can custom tailor these easy bolt-on kits to all types of enthusiast driving.
