Barn Find: An Abandoned Chevelle Gets Saved And Finds A New Home

January 30, 2015

It is a wonder how cars are left to rot due to unfortunate circumstances. In fact, it is saddening to see a classic such as this 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu left abandoned and neglected of care.

Searching Cars In Barns, we found this Chevelle Malibu collecting dust but still see great potential. According to the caption on Cars In Barns, the Chevelle had been stored in a barn for about 12 years due to the passing of its original owner.

’67 Chevelle Malibu is homeward bound

It is hard to believe a beauty such as this could be left alone for so long. However, despite its heavy coat of dust, the Chevelle’s original Marina Blue paint looks to be intact.

Also, the chrome bumpers and exterior trim look to still be shining and free of any rust. But more importantly, this ’67 Chevelle’s body looks to be straight and free of dents or structural body damage.

Furthermore, its interior looks to be in great shape as well, complete with no tears or cracks in the matching Marina Blue interior. Under the hood, the 283 cubic-inch 4.6L V8 needs all but a wipe down and new fluids to bring it back to its former glory.

Although this Chevelle Malibu has been locked away for so long, it is finally finding a home. We’re glad to see this classic finds its way outside once again, in hopes that it will be restored to its original form.
