Goodguys Gazette is adding a trio of talent to its ranks this week. Joining the existing Gazette editorial team of Publisher Travis Weeks, Features Editor Brandon Flannery, Art Director Kevin Reynolds and Production Manager Gaea McLaughlin are industry veterans Ashley Majeski Smissen, Todd Ryden, and Henry DeKuyper.

Smissen, whose background includes editorial and B2B content in the automotive industry comes ready to show what she’s made of as the new Media Editor, where she will stay busy writing features and conducting interviews and company profiles. She played a major role in producing the annual Hotrod & Restoration Trade Show in Indianapolis, and has authored two books–Inside AGT: The Untold Stories of America’s Got Talent and Teen Mom Confidential.

Todd Ryden, meanwhile, has been a regular presence within the industry for decades and will be joining the Gazette as its Tech & Product Editor. His extensive skills in tech and “how-to” articles should prove a major benefit to the magazine and that can only mean good things for all of us hands-on hot rodders constantly on the search for improving our own skills. With Ryden leading the way, the DIY tasks should prove a little easier; especially when it comes to wiring and ignition systems, which are Ryden’s forte.

Last but not least, Henry DeKuyper, renowned photographer with over two decades of experience under his belt, rounds out the pack of new Gazette staff. From VW Trends to Source Interlink Media, the man has proven himself a capable and professional artist behind the lens. For this new line of work, DeKuyper will be expected to handle cover shots, vehicle features, and event coverage.

We’re certain that with these fresh faces now working at the Goodguys Gazette great things are in the near future for the magazine. We here at Rod Authority offer our congratulations to these lucky people and wish them the best with their new occupations.
