Celebrity car designer Mark Oja and the Automotive Aftermarket Division of 3M have teamed up for the Charlotte Motor Speedway Auto Fair held on April 5-8, 2018.
Oja, famous from his experience as the A-Team leader on Velocity Channel’s Overhaulin’ and owner of California Speed & Custom Garage, will share his car design and restoration tips at the 3M Demonstrations and Education mobile operations trailer on April 5 and 6. Additionally, he will also host demonstrations with 3M solutions for body prep, painting and paint finishing, and will judge the two Best Paint awards given to participating car clubs as well as the general public exhibiting cars.
Other top attractions at the fair will include an array of movie cars, like the 1976 Ford Torino from the TV show Starsky and Hutch, the 1948 Tucker from Francis Ford Copolla’s film, Tucker: A Man and his Dream, the 1985 Chevy/Ferrari Daytona replica used in the first season of Miami Vice, and the City Chevrolet NASCAR racer driven by Tom Cruise in Days of Thunder.
The event also features 100 Years of Chevy Trucks with Rick Lancaster’s 1950 custom on display as well as Scott Russell’s 1959 Chevy Apache, and “NFL Stars’ Custom Cars” like DAngleo Williams’ 1984 C10 truck, Mike Tolbert’s 1970 Chevelle, and Gary Bainbridge’s 1949 Chevy Coupe.
