The introduction of Mopar big-block cylinder heads is always huge news and Edelbrock touched a nerve at SEMA 2025 in Las Vegas, where it showed its new Performer RPM 230cc Chrysler aluminum heads.

The new Edelbrock Performer 230cc cylinder heads come with heart-shaped ports for improved combustion efficiency and a more complete burn of the mixture. This not only decreases the risk of detonation, but it creates turbulence and “squish” areas that force the air-fuel mixture towards the spark plug as the piston reaches top dead center.

The Mopar big-block cylinder heads are designed to bolt onto any B- or RB engine and should be available to customers in mid-to-late February. These are serious cylinder heads for street and strip enthusiasts, and are an excellent addition to Edelbrock’s other Chrysler offerings.

Each Performer RPM 230cc cylinder head comes fully assembled with premium valvetrain components, including stainless steel one-piece swirl-polished intake and exhaust valves with undercut stems for improved flow, manganese bronze valve guides, ductile iron valve seats, two-ring positive oil control seals, hardened steel valve spring locators, and Edelbrock Sure-Seat valve springs, retainers, and keepers. Intake valves measure 2.165-inches and 1.650-exhaust valves. Maximum recommended lift is .680-inch.

Edelbrock’s patented Clean-Cast Technology further enhances performance by eliminating internal casting flaws and creating a smoother surface finish, which improves airflow and coolant circulation. The result is increased power and better cooling right out of the box, making these heads an excellent performance value for any big-block Chrysler build.

There are two application-specific part numbers: 60025 for hydraulic roller applications and 60029 for hydraulic flat-tappet setups.

Manufactured in Edelbrock’s ISO-certified facility in San Jacinto, California, each cylinder head is machined to exacting tolerances for exceptional quality and consistency. With larger 230cc ports than comparable RPM heads and 73cc fully CNC combustion chambers, this new design is ideal for high-performance applications that require increased airflow and power, while still maintaining compatibility with off-the-shelfcomponents.

Our source at Edelbrock tells us that a version with CNC’d ports is being worked on, and the company is hoping to have it on shelves by June or July..

Edelbrock’s Performer RPM 210cc Mopar big-block heads have proven themselves for over a decade now. They are available with either 75cc or 85cc chambers. The new Performer RPM 230s will take the potential of your next build to another level.
