This muscle car of the week is a very special ride — it is the first 1969 Camaro with the ZL-1 package ever made. This package gives the Camaro an all-aluminum 427 V8 and makes it the envy of every classic Chevy collector alive. It was delivered to Fred Gibb Chevrolet on New Year’s Eve 1968. The Gibb crew then took the car and transformed it into a drag racing record setting legend as it was driven in races all over the United States. Today, there are less than 40 original Camaros with the ZL-1 package. In this special spotlight video, Charley Lillard gives us the story behind the restoration.
