In this update of Project Teacher’s Pet we are at the stage in the project were we have to do all the small things to the chassis and body to make for a sturdy foundation for us to build on. This includes rust repairs, wheel tubes, firewall smoothing, and other metal working required for our LS3 engine swap. As you will see in the pictures we had the students build a chassis cart to roll it around and to get under the vehicle when sand blasting.
We’ve also pictured some of the work the students have been doing to spruce up the atmosphere in our lab with the banners of our amazing team partners. We weren’t able to get them all pictured but we are sure you will see their name and products in future updates.
Lastly, we have some pictures of the products our sponsors have sent and will be installed on Project Teacher’s Pet. Big thanks to AutoMeter, Painless Performance Products, Scat Performance, Redline Oil, FAST, COMP Cams, and Wegner Motorsports.
Upcoming: The students will be taking a field trip to the famous Wegner Motorsports engine builder where the students will build a beastly, stroked 416in LS3 with a laundry list of aftermarket parts under the assistance of Wegner professionals. We are super excited for this trip and are sure many pictures will come from that day. Stay tuned here for more updates and be sure to like their Facebook page for even more info on the project!
