On day three, our SEMA adventures took us to the OSH Cut booth to check out Dillon Houck’s 1965 Ford Falcon. You might know Dillon from his YouTube or Instagram. What you might not know is that, as a young builder, he has already made multiple trips to the SEMA show floor, securing the confidence and sponsorship of big brands like LIQUI MOLY. What you probably don’t know is the history of Dillon’s awesome Falcon and the extremely unique mod the car debuted at SEMA 2025.
A Solid Foundation
Dillon found this Falcon in a field while he was still in middle school. He saw the car, noticed it had four doors, and thought it would be a fun build that could haul him and his friends around town in style. After a little TLC that included body work, fresh paint, a new interior, and a fully rebuilt drivetrain, he brought the car to SEMA 2023 as a clean, six-cylinder restomod. While the Falcon was a very nice cruiser, Dillon still wanted to push the build further.
Project SHO-OFF
It just so happened that Dillon’s grandfather had a hidden gem that could serve as the perfect upgrade project. The 1991 Taurus SHO V8 that’s currently the heart of Project SHO-OFF had been bolted into an early Ford test car, then preserved at just 357 miles. Of course, since the SHO engine was originally a transverse V8, the swap would take a lot of customization. In addition to 108 custom OSH Cut adapters, the car features new engine mounts, relocated coils, a modified intake, and a relocated oil filter.
Cool In More Ways Than One
Obviously, the visuals are on point, with a smoothed engine bay complementing a smoothed and Cerakoted intake, custom stainless tubing, custom stainless exhaust, and a smoothed and Cerakoted transmission. That transmission is a Tremec T-5 five-speed that was supplied by Modern Driveline. The engine rides a customized crossmember that’s part of a Heidts Superide II independent front suspension. Stylish American Racing wheels front Wilwood discs brakes that include 13-inch rotors and 6-piston calipers at the front of the car. In case all that isn’t impressive enough, the team also managed to slide a ProCharger P-1SC into the right side of the engine bay.
Same Song, Different Tune
The one thing Dillon chose not to alter for this car’s second SEMA debut was its two-tone Champagne and Cherry Red Metallic paint. We’d say that was a solid choice, since the hues are very unusual and blend well with a new, four-bucket leather interior. Those seats, two of which are fitted with five-point Simpson harnesses, face a customized dash that’s complete with Dakota Digital telemetry, Vintage Air climate control, and Kenwood touchscreen audio. A custom console looks great opposite custom door cards, and a roll bar provides some added safety.

Dillon Houck’s Project SHO-OFF is proof that passion and ingenuity can rewrite the rulebook. What started as a humble four-door Falcon found in a field has evolved into one of the most inventive builds at SEMA 2025. With help from OSH Cut, LIQUI MOLY, and a roster of top-tier partners, Dillon managed to pull off an engine swap that most builders wouldn’t even attempt. A true blend of old-school charm and modern engineering, this Falcon stands as a shining example of how creativity and a little courage can turn a forgotten classic into a full-blown showstopper.
