Making Things Simple And Easy
Anyone who has tried to adapt OE cruise control to their street machine knows there are a lot of hurdles to overcome. Dakota Digital has made it pretty simple with its Velocity Commander cruise control. First, it’s configurable with the Dakota Digital mobile App, featuring a built-in setup and troubleshooting wizard, taking the guesswork out of installation, setup and operation.
The Velocity Commander monitors Speedometer and Tachometer information through OBD-II, aftermarket EFI CAN data, or even a direct Speedometer and Tachometer connection. There’s an activation output wire to drive any type of dash-mount cruise control indicator light.
It’s OBD II CAN compatible and compatible with aftermarket EFI systems. It has options for direct speedometer and tachometer connections, and user-configurable CAN messages (250k-1M baud, standard and extended ID).
Aftermarket EFI System Compatibility
If you have an aftermarket EFI system which carries both Speedometer and Tachometer information (which typically contains onboard TCM functions), installation can be simplified with a direct CAN connection harness for several of the most popular systems on the market, including AEM, Aces, Holley EFI, Haltech, FiTech and MegaSquirt.
Dakota Digital even has plug-and-play Drive by Wire (DBW) harnesses available for GM, Ford and Mopar pedals.
