6000+ Horsepower Of Modern Muscle Headed To Mecum Auctions

If you’re like us, scrolling through famous auction sites and checking out some eye candy is one of your favorite pastimes. With plenty of rare collector cars to drool over and dream about having sit in our garage, its sometimes sort of easy to just pass over cars we would actually like to tear up the asphalt in and drive on the street.

But, three of Mecum’s upcoming auctions – Dallas, Texas, Chicago, Illinois, and Las Vegas, Nevada – have quite a bit of modern American muscle examples that fit into that “heck, yeah I would drive that” category. The Dallas event alone, which is next week, has five of these high-horsepower cars – three of which are virtually brand spankin’ new Dodge Demons, along with a gorgeous 2017 Grand Sport and a Shelby Supersnake.

The color of this Demon caught our eye – and with its rarity, its sure to catch someone else’s at the Mecum event in Dallas next month. Per the listing, it was one of only 40 Demons produced for a “VIP” or high-end executive. With only 13 delivery miles, it was never dealer prepped, and still has plastic wrapped around the seats and steering wheel.

It has all the not-so-standard features we love about the Dodge Demon, but also includes the Demon Crate Package, that will shipped to the lucky winner after the auction.

This 2013 Ford Shelby Supersnake has all the bells and whistles – from the factory Shelby wide body, suspension package, forged wheel upgrade, and big brake package, all the way down to the build sheets, window stickers, and all relevant certificates.

With a 580-horsepower supercharged 5.8-liter V8 under its hood, and only 21k miles under its belt, its sure to go for some big bucks at Dallas next week.

This Mustang from Petty’s Garage won best in class at the Milwaukee Concours d’ Elegance earlier this year. It is of only 43 examples that feature Forgeline wheels, a Wilwood big brake kit, 3-way adjustable coilovers, sway bars, wheel hop reduction bushings, and a custom paint job.

Its finished off with a signed build sheet, a personalized thank you card, and a couple of parts thrown on that are signed by none other than Richard Petty himself.

Following the Dallas event, is Chicago on October 25th, most notably showcasing a Yenko Camaro, 50th Anniversary GT350, and a Mustang from the famous Petty’s Garage.
