Racing Head Service (RHS) has hinted that they will have a handful of cool new reveals at SEMA, but we’ve got a preview for you a little bit early. This is the company’s new Pro Elite Big Port cylinder heads designed for big-inch LS7 engines.
RHS says that these are the only raised runner, aftermarket LS7 heads with the runner volume to support large cubic inch applications yet are still able to support both production and aftermarket intake manifolds and valve trains.
The heads are CNC ported for optimum flow with large 307 cc intake runners, so they should be able to move tons of air and fuel. To also help improve flow, the intake ports are also raised 0.220 of an inch from the stock location to provide a straight line-of-sight shot into the bore. The exhaust runner is 98 cc’s to compliment the big intake, and the chambers measure out at 69 cc’s. The heads use a 2.250 x 5/16 inch intake valve and a 1.615 inch x 8 mm exhaust.
These heads look to be a fantastic option for drag racers looking to maximize power in a big-inch race engine, but RHS says their new Big Port LS7 cylinder heads are also a great fit for 454-402 cubic inch LS street engines.
We’ve listed more of the highlights on these heads below, but for more information you can check out RHS’s website here.
