OK, we’re not going to be crafty about it, this is just a reason to print pictures of pretty girls and beautiful American muscle cars. We’re big fans of Tom Pfeifer and his website AmericanCarsAmericanGirls. Tom’s really doing the Lord’s work over there, photographing real women with real American muscle. There’s no fancy schmancy photo studio sessions, no airbrushed pictures, no photoshopped pics. No additives. No preservatives. Nope, just real ladies next to driven, hand-built machines.
The idea for the site seemed simple enough. Started back in 2007 after Tom was at a car show noticing all the great cars and cute girls milling around them, Tom realized that an opportunity was being wasted. Now after three years and “several thousand dollars” according to Tom, AmericanCarsAmericanGirls has been a quiet success. As Tom admits, “I’m not a photographer, nor am I writer, but I do know a great car and a cute girl when I see ’em.”
Recently, Tom was in attendance at the 7th annual Run Through The Hills autocross challenge. Held every year in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, the annual event welcomes hundreds of muscle cars – both young and old – to take part in the autocross course, drag racing and the speed/stop challenge. Vendors were in full force, like Bret Voelkel at Ridetech behind the wheel of their “48Hr. Camaro” which netted fifth place in the event.
The full photo gallery of lovely ladies and sweet machines will be published on ACAG shortly, but for now, we’ve got some samples to enjoy.
