Posted on Engine Swap Depot, we stumbled across a sweet-looking classic; a 1958 Plymouth with a slight modern twist to it.
Coming off a recently completed body-off restoration, this Plymouth is fitted with a modern 5.7-Liter Dodge Hemi V8 motor with electronic fuel injection and a drive-by wire throttle system. The hefty engine is mated with a Dodge 545RFE automatic transmission to help put power to the pavement.
A Dana 60 limited slip differential and a completely overhauled suspension with a front disc rear drum brake setup give the Plymouth enough newness to make it safe on today’s roads. With every nut and bolt being new and stainless steel, this Plymouth glistens as much as it purrs.
A powder-coated chassis and a pristine red and white tuck and roll interior with chrome piping around the seats gives the Plymouth elegance and class. Essentially a post model of the revered Christine two door from the Hollywood classic Christine, this Plymouth pays tribute to kustom kulture, which began with greasers in the 1950s.
The inclusion of digital auxiliary gauges and a custom floor automatic transmission shift linkage complement the full stainless Flowmaster exhaust and cats. With hardly any of these ’58 Plymouths actually seen running and cruising down the road, don’t miss out on your chance to bid on this beautiful Plymouth.
At a current bid price of $25,0000, do you think this restored Plymouth is worth every cent? You can learn about this car here, where it is currently being sold by a private owner in Santa Rosa, California.
